Ayurveda considers AGNI as the major component which is responsible for digestion. One must suppose to have food when he is hungry (i.e. agni is strong)

It is said that agni is the stronger in early time after 3 hours of sunrise. So one must have its lunch at time of breakfast only.

It is always recommended to replace breakfast & meals as shown in the figure.

So Preferrable time for lunch is 10am-11am & dinner is suppose to be by 7:30pm

DRESSING & CLOTHES DURING PREGNANCY 1

Season’s & clothes have big impact on mother’s & baby’s health.

In general, cotton cloth is suggested for pregnant women as it is light, not more tight gitted,

Punjabi dress made from Khaadi material is much more suggestive.

DURING SUMMER’S- It is must to apply light coloured cotton clothes as it soaks excess sweat & keeps the body cool.

DURING WINTER’S- Woolen clothes are more preferable. Sock’s, scarf, 2 cotton swabs to be there in ear’s to avoid vaata aggravation in mother’s body.

Sweater’s during winter’s are not supposed to be tight for pregnant mother’s.

Bathing Rules

SNAANAM

Touch of hot water on eyes & hairs affects it’s strength. So it is must to bathe head region with cold water

After exercising, if steam is not possible, then one must bathe with warm water.

Once a week, one must apply UBATAN or some herbal packs on their skin which nourishes it.

PROBLEMS FACED DURING PREGNANCY

Doshas gets vitiated after conception. So many symptoms like black spots, pimples, wrinkles, body heat, etc. are seen.

Stretch marks is such a symptom related to drying of abdominal nerves which gets over-strained.

Over-weight & swellings is observed in 2nd trimester  where mother is termed as DAU-HRUDINI as there is impact of 2 lives in mother’s body.

STIFFNESS & STRETCH MARKS ON MAMMARY GLANDS is due to Vaata aggravation in her body during & after delivery of the baby.

Mothers consuming non-vegetarian foods can have it as follows:

Rule for having non-veg food:-

For 1st Trimester: Have only non-veg soups that only goat soups but not spicy.

For 2nd & 3rd  Trimester: Mother can have light non-vegetarian diet but only goat flesh as it nourishes maamsa dhaatu.

Chicken is strictly to be avoided as it aggravates Pitta in our body.

During pregnancy, women is not suppose to have more exertion.

Few exercises practiced on daily basis should be done to enhance endometrium and nourishes the baby through naabhi nal (Umbilical cord)

Diet has to be kept changing for monthwise development of the foetus.

These are list of few food &  lifestyle which are to be followed on regular basis

  • Ghee + desi cow milk + Khaand-sari (hand-pounded sugar)
  • 10 black raisins + Anjeer + 2 Dates + ½ peel of kokam
  •  Avoid having yogurt
  • Gap between Diet & sleep at night has to be of 2 hrs
  • Avoid having fermented foods
  • Avoid sleeping in day time

As we all know having some exerces early morning helps in eliminating the stools & strengthens our body & keeps us fit.

So one is suppose to have surya-namaskaar or any exercises followed by any pranayam.

It strengthens our joints & helps in fats reduction.

NOTE: Vyaayam & pranayama has to be done only after Abhyangam (Dincharya 4).

This will help the body to gain SATVA of oil completely.

Limitation: Vyayaam has to be done only till one starts sweating.

Person desiring to have a wrinkle-free soft skin should always apply undergo this procedure throughout the year.

It is very effective on insomnia (sleep-lessness), improves vision, relaxes joint pains, pacifies vaat-dosha etc..
