It is a pledge taking procedure by husband for his wife & child in her womb.

It is performed in 1^st month soon after conception

Husband keeps his right hand on wife’s heart, chants a mantra and takes oath / pledge that he will look after her & child throughout the intra-uterine life.

He will compromise all his other works for her & child & be their SEVAK & follow it responsibly throughout the garbha-avashtha.
